DID YOU KNOW THE CYCLE-OF-DEPRESSION CAN BE BROKEN IN AS LITTLE AS 5 DAYS? IT'S TRUE! READ ON... WHAT
IS DEPRESSION? Depression is
a mood disorder resulting from ongoing stress to the central nervous system.
It has biological, environmental, and ontological origins that affect
one's emotional and mental life. Depression is not a mental
disease. And, if not remedied, it eventually robs the individual from
experiencing the joys of everyday living. THE WARNING
SIGNS: Have you or a
loved one experienced any of the following for more than 90 days?
Insomnia; feeling tired no matter how much sleep you get; chronic fatigue;
chronic pain; allergies; hopeless despair; non-productivity or lack of
motivation; auto-immune dysfunction; lack of concentration; reduction in
cognitive abilities; impaired organizational skills; irritability;
sensory/motor deficits; anxiety; struggling with feelings of worthlessness
and/or thoughts of suicide, long crying spells; severe headaches, poor
appetite or overeating. If so, you may have depression. THE COST OF
DEPRESSION:
THE
HOLISTIC APPROACH: Neuroscience
and Biofeedback technology are integrated into a multi-modality approach
to holistic living. Advanced technology can test and accurately determine
many of the causes of depression. Intensive Neurofeedback &
Advanced Biofeedback Training are accompanied by nutritional support,
detoxification, meditation, and sensory integration practices with one-on-one
personal care to ensure a safe environment for personal change. Georgia
Connor's program has had unprecedented results in the setting of a private
practice. The brainwave patterns of clinically depressed individuals actually
alter within the first five days of Intensive Neurofeedback & Advanced
Biofeedback Training if the individual adheres to their
"integrated-therapy-protocols". Results are more dramatic and
longer lasting if an individual is not taking prescription anti-depressants.
However, in certain cases prescription medication is advantageous and we
are willing to work closely with doctors prescribing medication.
Neurofeedback technology is a wonderful tool for viewing allergic reactions
to prescribed medication, and how they affect the brain. Also, it is most
helpful in assisting individuals in titrating down on drugs in a more serene
way. In many cases
a team of professionals will be integrated into the over-all program.
Other specialists in naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture,
structural rehabilitation and of course MD's are available for both standard
and alternative medical care as needed. THE PROCESS: An initial consultation will be set up with
Georgia Connor to determine if the individual is a candidate for this
program. From that meeting, an Assessment Day is scheduled.
Comprehensive testing may follow to determine further underlying causes
contributing to the state of depression. While the
brainwave patterns of clinically depressed individuals actually alter within
the first five days of training, it must be emphasized that this program is
designed as a 16-Day Intensive Training Protocol with periodic follow-ups.
The changes that occur encourage 'life-style' changes. Permanency (i.e. staying
depression free) and /or continued evolution with regard to progress in
personal fulfillment and accomplishment are dependent on the individual's
ability and willingness to accept the things that can not be changed, find
the courage to change the perceptions and habits they can change, and to
"stay-the-course" with their follow-ups and "
integrated-protocols" which includes nutrition. SUICIDE

Kids, a WHAT IS
NEUROFEEDBACK: EEG Biofeedback or Neurofeedback is a learning strategy that
enables a person to alter their brainwaves. When information about a person's
own brainwave characteristics is made available to them in a real-time
computer display with sound, he/she can learn to change them. You can
think of it as exercise for the brain. The feedback information, like a dancer's
reflection in a studio mirror, provides an opportunity for the development of
skills that were previously unavailable to the conscious mind. Increased
cerebral blood flow occurs which enhances brain functioning and raises
cognitive abilities. This interactive methodology is known as
"self-regulation". BRIEF
HISTORY OF BIOFEEDBACK: EEG Biofeedback or Neurofeedback, otherwise known as
brainwave training, has come a long way since the 1970's when NASA Astronauts
used the technology in their training programs between KNOWN

FYI- For
Your Information: * Depression is
not a mental illness. It is a biological illness that causes mental and/or
emotional problems * More than
100 Million prescriptions for anti-depressants are written every year in the * Half of
those who suffer from depression will never seek help. *A woman has a
1 in 4 chance of suffering from a depressive illness in her lifetime. *The World
Health Organization ranks depression the most disabling illness among women. * It is likely
many psychotherapists, social workers, psychologists, alcohol and drug
counselors and marriage counselors fail to diagnose mood disorders in their
clients, especially, the milder forms of bipolar illness. These clients may
be inappropriately treated with psychotherapy and marital counseling alone. *15% of people
with untreated depression commit suicide. 20% of people with bipolar disorder
commit suicide. * Nearly 25%
of all adolescent deaths are due to suicide. *Someone can
suffer from depressive illness and still manage to function. * One in 14
men suffer from depression. However, few recognize the symptoms, few discuss
it, few get treatment. CONTACT US: Georgia K. Connor Email: georgia@mindmoves.net http://www.mindmoves.net/
